Job Summary

Individual who provides occupational therapy services under the supervision and direction of the licensed occupational therapist. COTAs implement selected components of patient interventions/treatments, obtain data related to interventions provided and make modifications in selected interventions to either progress a patient as directed by the occupational therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team regularly.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited COTA program.
  • Proof of current CPR certification.
  • Current unrestricted COTA license, registration or certification (state specific)
  • Experience as required by current practicing State Board to treat patients in their homes.
  • Therapy skills consistent with generally accepted standards of practice according to the AOTA.
  • Good interpersonal skills including, but not limited to, the ability to adequately communicate with patients, families, supervising occupational therapists, peer disciplines, and referral sources.
  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment appropriate for patients with occupational therapy needs.
  • Reliable Transportation with valid and current auto liability insurance.
