Overview:

Responsible for data entry, posting journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, the monthly general ledger close processes, and other related duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs monthly closing activities, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyzes financial results and variances, identifying trends and recommending actions.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely journal entries.
  • Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Ad Hoc reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in accounting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • 0-3 years accounting experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and MAS 90 preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills while working in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Well organized, a self-starter, and have excellent time management skills.
  • Meet assigned deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications, and 10-key by touch.
  • Interact with employees in a professional manner.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic.
